- Hablar de situaciones de futuro seguro:
Peter will be thirteen next month.
- Para ofrecernos voluntariamente a hacer algo, muchas veces de forma espontánea:
I will translate the email so Mr Smith can read it.
- Para hacer promesas:
I promise I won’t tell him about your surprise party.
- Pedir cosas o dar órdenes:
Will you do the dishes for me, please?
Extra: Para promesas, ofertas y sugerencias, existe la posibilidad de usar shall en vez de will en inglés británico:
Shall we eat dinner together?
Pero a veces saber cuándo usar be going to y cuando usar will no resulta fácil. Así que trabajemos sus diferencias:
